About Us

My Basis Needs Charity Foundation

Who We Are

My Basic Needs Charity Foundation is a faith-driven, Christian charity operating in both the United Kingdom and Africa, dedicated to supporting orphans and children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Since our founding in 2010, our mission has been to uplift children living in poverty, providing them with the essential support they need to overcome hardship and build a brighter future.

Our focus extends beyond just meeting immediate needs—we are committed to creating long-term, sustainable change in the lives of vulnerable children. By targeting specific boroughs and communities in London and beyond, as well as underprivileged regions in Africa, we aim to break the cycle of poverty through practical interventions, compassion, and faith-based encouragement.

What We Do

At My Basic Needs Charity Foundation, we prioritize three core areas of support:

  • Feeding Programs – Providing nutritious meals to ensure that no child in our care goes hungry. Malnutrition is a major challenge for children in poverty, and we strive to combat this by offering food support in both school settings and community outreaches.
  •  Clothing Assistance – We believe that every child deserves dignity and comfort. We collect, distribute, and provide essential clothing and shoes to children in need, helping them stay warm and presentable, particularly in colder seasons.

  • Moral & Emotional Support – Beyond physical needs, children require emotional stability and guidance. Through mentorship, faith-based counseling, and community support initiatives, we encourage and inspire young people to develop resilience, confidence, and a sense of belonging.

Our Vision & Impact

Our vision is to see a world where no child suffers due to poverty—where every child has access to basic needs, education, and emotional well-being, regardless of their background. Over the years, our work has positively impacted hundreds of children, providing them with hope, opportunity, and a foundation for a better future.

Our Mission

At My Basic Needs Charity Foundation (MBNF), our mission is to empower communities and transform the lives of underprivileged, deprived, and disadvantaged children by ensuring they have access to life’s most essential needs – food and clothing.

We believe that no child should have to suffer due to poverty, neglect, or lack of basic resources. Through our community-based initiatives, we strive to alleviate hardship, restore dignity, and create opportunities for a brighter future.

How We Full Our Mission

  • Providing Nutritious Meals – Hunger is a daily struggle for many children in poverty. We work with local communities, churches, and volunteers to ensure that vulnerable children receive regular, nutritious meals, helping to combat malnutrition and improve their overall well-being.

  • Clothing Support – Proper clothing is more than just a basic need—it provides warmth, comfort, and confidence. We collect, distribute, and provide essential clothing, footwear, and school uniforms to children who lack adequate resources, ensuring they can attend school and engage in daily life with dignity.

  • Community Collaboration – We understand that lasting change happens through collective effort. We partner with churches, schools, local organizations, and donors to reach as many children as possible, ensuring that our support has a sustainable and long-term impact.

  • Faith-Based Encouragement & Emotional Support – Beyond physical needs, we offer moral and emotional support to children facing hardship. Through mentorship, counseling, and community programs, we help children develop self-worth, resilience, and hope for the future.

Why Our Mission Matters

Poverty deprives children of their basic rights and opportunities. Lack of food affects their health and ability to concentrate in school, while inadequate clothing can lead to social exclusion, illness, and loss of confidence. By addressing these fundamental needs, MBNF empowers children to thrive, setting them on a path toward a better future, free from the limitations of poverty.

Our Main Activities

At My Basic Needs Charity
Foundation (MBNF), we believe that even the smallest act of support can create
a lasting impact on a child’s life. Our work is centered around providing
practical assistance, emotional support, and skill-building opportunities to
children in need and their families.

1. Identifying and Supporting Vulnerable Children

We work closely with local boroughs, community leaders, schools, and faith-based organizations to identify children in need—those facing extreme poverty, neglect, or other hardships. Once identified, we provide tailored support to address their most urgent needs.

2. Providing Essential Food & Clothing

  • Feeding Programs – Many children in low-income communities struggle with hunger and malnutrition. We ensure they have access to nutritious meals, supporting their growth, health, and ability to focus in school.
  • Clothing Distribution – We collect and distribute new and gently used clothing, shoes, and school uniforms, ensuring that children have the dignity, warmth, and confidence they need to thrive in their daily lives.

3. Encouraging Positive Habits & Emotional Well-being

Beyond physical needs, we aim to empower children with the knowledge and skills to build better futures. Through mentorship, workshops, and interactive sessions, we focus on:

  • Building self-esteem and resilience – Helping children recognize their worth and develop confidence.
  • Promoting healthy relationships – Teaching values of respect, kindness, and emotional intelligence.
  • Social & Emotional Awareness – Encouraging positive behavior, self-care, and decision-making skills.

.4. Free HairdressingTraining for Struggling Single Parents:

Recognizing the financial struggles of single parents, particularly mothers, we offer free hairdressing training to those in need. This program provides them with:

  •  A valuable skill that can lead to employment or self-employment.
  • Financial independence, reducing reliance on social support.
  • A sense of empowerment and self-worth to build a better future for themselves and their children.
