Solomon Mensah -Volunteer
My name is Solomon Mensah -Volunteer. I was born in Kumbotso, Kano State, Nigeria, to a Ghanaian father and a Togolese mother.Growing up in a mixed-religion home, I had the privilege of learning about both Christianity and Islam. In 2004, a severe religious crisis in Kano displaced many families and claimed countless lives. As a teenager, I suffered great personal losses. Amidst the chaos, my mother, known for her kindness, took in many displaced children, earning the name MAMA YARA—“Mother of Children.” Her selflessness inspired me to follow in her footsteps. Since then, I have dedicated myself to helping others in any way I can, believing that supporting those in need today is an investment in a better future for all.
