• donation details, donation amount, payment status, donor preferences and Gift Aid declaration information;
• information supplied in contact, volunteer, partnership, fundraising, goods-donation or corporate-giving forms;

• technical and security information such as IP address, browser, device, page URL, timestamps and form-submission metadata;

• information that you choose to provide when participating in an approved programme or activity.
Payment-card or account details are processed by the payment provider selected at checkout. MBNCF does not need to receive your complete card details.

• process donations, issue receipts, administer recurring gifts and maintain financial records;
• assess Gift Aid declarations and support any related administration;
• respond to enquiries and provide requested information;
• assess volunteer, partnership, fundraising, corporate-giving and goods-donation proposals;
• operate, protect, troubleshoot and improve the website and forms;
• send newsletters or updates where you have asked to receive them;
• manage relationships with donors, supporters, volunteers and partners;
• prevent fraud, misuse and security incidents;
• fulfil legal, regulatory, accounting, safeguarding and governance responsibilities; and
• establish, exercise or defend legal rights where necessary.
We rely on an appropriate lawful basis for each use, which may include consent, performance of an agreement or requested action, legal obligation, legitimate interests, or protection of vital interests in an emergency.
Who we may share information with
We do not sell personal information. We may share only what is reasonably necessary with:
• website, hosting, email, form, donation and payment-service providers;
• professional advisers, auditors, insurers or technology support;
• approved programme or delivery partners where information is needed for a legitimate activity and appropriate safeguards apply;
• HM Revenue & Customs or other authorities where required for Gift Aid, tax, regulatory or legal purposes;
• law-enforcement, regulators, courts or safeguarding authorities where disclosure is required or necessary; and
• a successor organisation if the charity’s administration is lawfully restructured.
Service providers are expected to handle information securely and only for the agreed purpose.
Retention, security and international services
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including legal, accounting, tax, Gift Aid, safeguarding, complaint and governance requirements. Retention periods vary by record type.

Children, photographs and safeguarding information
This website is not designed for children to submit personal information independently. A parent, guardian, school or authorised organisation should contact MBNCF where an enquiry concerns a child.
Photographs, stories and programme information involving children or vulnerable people should be handled with consent, safeguarding, dignity and data-minimisation in mind. Sensitive case information is not published merely because a person has received support.
